COMSATS University Sahiwal, Punjab Lok Sujag, Sahiwal Art Council, Awaz Society
and Engro Foods have planned to organize Cultural Programs on the eve of International
Mother Language Day.
Punjabi Mushaira was arranged at COMSATS University Sahiwal on February 20, 2018.
Sixteen (16) poets presented their Punjabi poetry.
Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director CIIT Sahiwal was the Chief Guest.
The program was started with recitation from the holy Quran.
During inaugural speech, Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat welcomed all the poets
and participants. He extended his gratitude for their participation in Punjabi Mushaira.
This program was attended Ch. Zeshan Shazad, President, Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce
& Industries,Mr. Zaki Ch., renowned representative of Civil Society representatives
of Punjab Lok Sujag, AWAZ Society Sahiwal and Engro Foods, Sahiwal, senior journalists,
head of institutions, civil society, head of departments, faculty, officers, staff
and large number of students of CIIT Sahiwal.
Before conclusion of the event, all poets, organizers and VIP guests were presented
souvenirs by Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director, COMSATS Sahiwal.
