COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Sahiwal has been working on preservation of Tangible and in-tangible heritage of Harappa in collaboration with Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of the Punjab.

In this regards, a meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Minister for Archaeology, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss long term and short term programs about preservation of tangible and in-tangible heritage of Harappa.

The said meeting was attended by the Secretary Ministry of Archaeology Punjab, Ch. Ijaz Hussain, DG Archaeology, Dr. Sumaira Samad, Director Lahore Museum, Rana Adeel Abad, Deputy Registrar CIIT Sahiwal, Mian Attique Ahmad, Resident Director, Arts Council Sahiwal, Ms. Saba Asghar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Sahiwal, Mohammad Hassan, Curator, Harappa Museum, Ms. Alleza RO Lahore Museum, and MD Tourism.
