102nd Convocation of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) was held
at COMSATS Sahiwal wherein, two hundred sixty one students of Management Science,
Biosciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering disciplines
were conferred degrees whereas, fifteen (15) students were awarded medals. Number
of female graduating students was sixty (60).
The event was attended by more than one thousand (1,000) persons (including 261
graduating students, their parents, members of Board of Governors, Academic Council,
Principal Officers of CIIT, Media Officials, dignitaries, Government officials,
head of educational institutions, civil society and community representatives).
Dr. S. M. Junaid Zaidi (H.I, S.I), Executive Director COMSATS was the Chief Guest
whereas, Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar (T.I), Rector, CIIT was the Guest of Honor.
Ch. Nauraiz Shakoor Khan, former Federal Minister, Science and Technology/ former
Chancellor CIIT, Mr. Tariq Rustam Chohan, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sahiwal,
Prof. Dr. M. A. Bodla and Prof. Dr. Shaukat Ali Hayat, former Directors COMSATS
Sahiwal also attended this mega event.
The event started with recitation from the Holy Quran after which, permission of
the Rector CIIT was sought for starting the proceedings. All graduating students
were presented before the Rector for conferment of degrees.
Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director COMSATS Sahiwal welcomed the audience, presented
campus report and congratulated the graduating students and their proud parents
for achieving this milestone in their lives. Mr. Tariq Rustam Chohan, RPO Sahiwal
and Ch. Nauraiz Shakoor Khan, former Chancellor, CIIT was especially welcomed in
the event.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S. M. Junaid Zaidi (H.I, S.I), Executive Director COMSATS and
Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar (T.I), Rector CIIT also addressed to the
gathering and congratulated to all graduating students and their proud parents.
While addressing to the parents, they extended their gratitude for choosing one
of the best educational institutions in Pakistan and the World.
There were memorable moments when all graduating students were conferred degrees
and topper students were awarded medals in recognition of their excellent academic
performance.
Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director COMSATS Sahiwal presented souvenirs to
Dr. S. M. Junaid Zaidi (H.I, S.I), Executive Director COMSATS, Prof. Dr. Raheel
Qamar (T.I), Rector, CIIT and Ch. Nauraiz Shakoor Khan, former Chancellor of CIIT.
This memorable event was concluded with group photos and delious lunch in the honor
of all participants.
